"My god, this is really happening!"
I think Yvette and I have said these words about a dozen times in the last few months. But for me, it seemed more real than ever today as I write this and punch the "Publish" button on the blog editor. I'm fairly certain the excitement level of what we are doing just increased by several notches!
If you haven't heard the story, here it is, the short version.
About two and a half years ago, we received a bill in the mail that just set my hair on fire. Most of you that know me, know that I can sometimes be a bit "passionate" about certain subjects. So without delving into the nature of that particular bill, suffice it to say we both started brain storming out loud, more like fire-storming if truth be told. Between the two of us, we would come up with an idea that evening to sell our home and all of our land which we have done. In exchange, we will tour the United States, mostly wilderness areas west of the Mississippi River, in an expedition truck called a Tiger Adventure vehicle. The "Tiger" will be pulling an expedition trailer called the Turtleback Trailer.. The initial plan is to travel for a year. But who knows, it could be much longer. If all goes well, perhaps Canada, Mexico and beyond.
